Hinton Pond Hockey is a fun innovative program that focuses on participation in a less structured and flexible environment.  It follows the Hockey Alberta Pond Hockey Program.

Pond Hockey is meant to be a fun innovative program that focuses on participation in a less structured and flexible environment. We welcome all skill levels  with the exception of needing to skate with assistance. We cannot allow the use of skate aid pushers as these are a safety concern for other skaters. HPH is a volunteer ran program that is committed to a safe environment for their players, volunteers, parents and facility staff  to keep pond hockey  fun.  Pond hockey is not a drop off program. Parent attendance is required to assist children dress & tie skates, help with any issues that arise.

We split the ice based on skill level. Groups will then work on skill and drills with their ice supervisors. All ice supervisors are required to have their respect in sport activity leader certificates. We end with scrimmages(mini-game)
